The area holds pleasures for golfers and non-golfers alike:

Aside from the golf, there are many other activities for the family to enjoy.

We have three world class beaches within 3 miles of Saunton with golden sand, surfing, rocks and rock pools for the little ones. All three have adjacent parking with beach cafes and Lifeguard patrols. Wet suits for all shapes and sizes and surf boards can be hired. There is some spectacular coastline as well, between Saunton and Ilfracombe and of course Clovelly is a delight.

For the wife with shopping in mind, Barnstaple has nearly all the clothing chains and a very large family-run department store.

The keen gardener can visit two excellent garden centres, each with a wide display of gifts, garden furniture and restaurants. There is also the Royal Horticultural Society Garden at Rosemoor (about 20 miles away near Torrington) or Marwood gardens only 6 miles away and again, each with a restaurant.

Finally there is Exmoor, a National Park on our doorstep, which is never crowded and offers a wide variety and length of walks in the most beautiful countryside.

You are never far away from tea rooms or pubs or delightful picnic spots.

Saunton is adjacent to the ex-RAF base at Chivenor, which was located in North Devon because of its excellent weather factor.

North Devon is a wonderful area, with many attractions to visit throughout the year.
