Today's Golfer have released the Golf World 'Top 100 in England' rankings this week, and we are delighted that both of our courses feature in the list. The East Course comes in at 22nd and the West Course comes in at 71st.
The East Course has been rated 82.4 out of a possible 100, and the panelists had this to say about the East Course:
One of the best opening series of holes in Britain and Ireland, with a series of classy, demanding two-shotters setting the East off on a high-calibre start. The springy turf, fast and true greens and the salty air are a joy and it could so easily be 10 places higher. There is so little to choose among the elite.
The West Course has been rated 76.7 out of a possible 100, and the panelists had this to say about the West Course:
Always been considered the second course here, but the changes in recent years have made such an improvement that the West is now a very, very good course in its own right and this position is probably the least it deserves. Less punishing and with more variety through taller dunes than the East.
